Meet Dan Daley
I was raised right here in Coral Springs and I am a proud graduate of Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School.
Serving as your voice and advocate in government has been the greatest honor. Today, I’m asking for your support so that I can keep working for you here in Northwest Broward, up in Tallahassee, and around the State of Florida, where critical issues continue to impact us all.
Prior to being elected, I was fortunate to work as a Legislative Aide to our former State Representative, Ari Abraham Porth, where I saw firsthand how important it was to work tirelessly for our community – from families, to students, to seniors, to our local small businesses. Growing up around a harness horse stable and eventually founding my own horse nutrition business at the age of 19, I was no stranger to hard work and understood how legislative policies impact folks’ daily lives. In 2021 I won my first election, becoming the youngest elected official in the State of Florida as a Coral Springs City Commissioner, becoming Vice Mayor in 2015, and President of the Broward League of Cities in 2017, while completing my law degree. In 2019, when a seat in the Florida House of Representatives opened unexpectedly, I knew that representing Northwest Broward in Tallahassee was the next step in this journey of working for our community.
In the last few years of public service as your State Representative, I’m proud to say that we have accomplished quite a bit. We have fought to keep students safe, passing Alyssa’s Law (putting panic alarms in all public schools) and Parents Need to Know (requiring school districts to report campus incidents within 24-48 hours of them occurring), while continuing to advocate for common-sense gun safety. We have fought for Florida jobs, speaking up for Florida agriculture businesses when ten thousand jobs were under attack from out-of-state corporate interests. We’ve implemented energy efficiency and electric vehicle legislation, helping consumers save money and reducing emissions in our environment. We’ve also successfully passed unanimous, bi-partisan legislation to help increase the size of our severely under-resourced Florida’s National Guard, and we’ve brought critical budget dollars back home to Northwest Broward, totaling over $4.5 million since 2019.
These are just a few of the important issues that I have been working on, but there is so much more to do. With your support, I’m ready to continue fighting for you, here and in Tallahassee. Let’s keep moving toward a better future, together.
Thank you for your support,
Dan Daley
